1. Proper Hair Washing Technique

Instead of relying on heat styling, try air drying your hair or using heat-free styling methods such as braiding or twisting your damp hair to create natural waves or curls.

4. Protect Your Hair from Environmental Damage

Environmental factors like sunlight, pollution, and harsh weather conditions can take a toll on your hair’s health and smoothness. To protect your hair, make it a habit to wear a hat or use a scarf when you are exposed to the sun or extreme weather.

In addition, it’s important to rinse your hair thoroughly after swimming in chlorinated or saltwater. The chemicals in these waters can strip away moisture from your hair, leaving it dry and brittle.
