Light

Peace lilies prefer bright, indirect light but can tolerate low light conditions. Keep them away from direct sunlight as it can scorch their leaves.

Watering

It’s important to keep the soil of peace lilies consistently moist. Water the plant whenever the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid overwatering as it can lead to root rot.

Temperature and Humidity

Peace lilies prefer temperatures between 65-75°F (18-24°C) and thrive in high humidity. You can mist the leaves or place the pot on a tray filled with water to increase humidity.

Soil and Fertilizer

Use a well-draining potting mix for peace lilies. You can also add organic matter like peat moss to retain moisture. Fertilize the plant with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer once a month during the growing season.

Repotting

Peace lilies generally need to be repotted every 1-2 years. Choose a pot that is one size larger and use fresh potting mix. Repotting is best done in spring.

Pruning

Remove any yellow or brown leaves regularly to keep the plant looking its best. You can also trim the plant to control its size or promote fuller growth.

Pests and Diseases

Peace lilies are relatively resistant to pests but can be susceptible to mealybugs and spider mites. Inspect the plant regularly and treat any infestations promptly. Also, be cautious of overwatering to prevent root rot.

Conclusion

By following these care tips, your peace lily plant will thrive and add beauty to your home or office space. Enjoy the lush green foliage and elegant white flowers of this popular houseplant!
